Mmmmmm Tasty

We had another first over here today.  We decided to make some banana bread and Parker wanted to be in charge.  So, now that he is able to read a lot of words I handed him the recipe and said go for it. Ahhh! Am I wasting a bunch of food right now or is this actually going to turn out?  feb 2012 007

Walking Sweet Heart

Just wanted to share a picture of our walking Sweet Heart. She has sure mastered the walking part and has even started her own "dancing". Such a fun stage to see. We call her our little weeble wobble.

Ashamed to admit...

...that today I took my boys to the Grand Rapids Childrens Museum for the first time. I know, I know, it's awful. We don't live that far away and after seeing how much fun the boys had, I regret that we have not been there before.
Fridays can be a long day for us here at the Leeuws. I don't work and the boys don't have school, so they are always begging to do something fun, not boring and no errands. Well, I remembered that I bought a groupon for the GRCM a while back and thought it would be a perfect day for it. I am prepping the boys all morning about a surprise that I had for them. They were asking all kinds of questions like are there toys and is it big? Of course there are toys, more than you can imagine I say. Griffin bursts in asking... Just like Heaven? Ummmm, well that is one way to look at it! We all get ready and I go to print off the groupon only to realize it expired last week. Yup, no turning back now, looks like we pay full price kiddos! Totally worth it! :)

I think I Can I Think I Can

Maybe if I keep repeating that to myself I will magically be able to keep up with this whole blogging thing. Sorry everyone, life gets a little busy around here and no offense but a blog has not been my top priority. But, yes there is a but, I have been "informed" by quite a few people in the past week or two that they would really like to keep up with our family a little bit better and the blog would be a great way to do that. I can't make any promises however, I am going to try to keep up a teensy bit better. So here is a start..... An updated picture of my Three amazing children. Parker 6 1/2, Griffin 3 1/2 and Tessa 14 months
For those of you wondering... Yes that is a first ponytail for Tessa! Well actually a large bow and a teeny little sprout that you cant even see. But this is big people. We have only been waiting a year for this. :)

So Cheers To A New Start!

A Couple Randoms

A couple weeks ago my friend Heather got married. It was such a wonderful day and I am so happy for both her and Mark. They deserve all the best and know that they will have such a blessed marriage. Some of the kids were able to attend the wedding which was super special to all of them. So here is a picture of Parker, Lily and Ava ready to dance the night away. I don't know if "dance" is the right word for Parker, the boys was literally out of control and loving every second of it.

Now that I have a girl in the house, I have to get used to all the bows and headbands. However I have found that they are sooooo stinkin expensive. I have also found that they just don't match perfectly. So what do you do when you cant find the right bow??? You make your own. My sister-in-law Sarah and I have decided to take up a new hobby and save ourselves a lot of money. Her more than me since she has three girls that can all wear pigtails at the same time. Whew thats a lot of bows. So here is my first go around at the bow making. Much more to come but so far I LOVE it! And the best thing is she will have one for every outfit that matches perfectly rather than just wearing a simple White or Pink. I have a lot of work but the bigger the better right?

Since I haven't posted in a while we have been through our baby turing 2 and 3 months. So here are her monthly pics. I didn't have these onesie stickers with the boys which I am bummed about because they are so helpful and perfect for the baby book. Oh well, live and learn right. Anyway, Tessa is doing wonderful. Growing like crazy. She is now down to 4 bottles a day, 3 naps a day and done with those late night feedings. A couple weeks ago she started going down around 7:30 pm and is good till 7:30 am. I keep saying that I feel like we have arrived. PRetty proud of my little girl. She is a big girl sitting at 96% for weight and 95% for height. Best time to be chunky right? Smiles and giggles all day long.

Here is one I couldn't resist. Morning story time. These are the times that I treasure. Boys quiet and getting along. Have to admit that these are few and far between. Sometimes I think I have to have more than Three children because the amount of running, jumping, pounding and screaming that goes on in my house can not possibly be from just Two boys.
